Fiber Arts Summer Camp Retreat - 8/5-8/8

I'm excited to announce the return of the Fiber Arts Summer Camp Retreat on August 5-8, 2027!

This retreat is 3 nights, with two full days of crafty fun. After we settle in on Thursday, we’ll gather for a delicious meal together. Friday we’ll be ice dyeing wearables and making friendship bracelets/keychains. On Saturday, we’ll do freeform tapestry weaving and create one-of-a-kind wall hangings that incorporate yarn, ribbon, fiber, and other personal objects. We’ll also have some time for more ice dyeing. There is lots of free time for crafting, relaxation, and fellowship. Diana Keating will be leading optional yoga classes each morning. Finally, no summer camp would be complete without potholder weaving. You will even have the chance to dye the potholder loops if you want. All materials are included, as well as lodging and meals. 

We'll be staying at theBlue Mountain Retreat Center in Knoxville, MD, about 1 hour from Baltimore,MD and Washington, DC. The center is located on 27 acres of mostly wooded land in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It’s a quick drive to Harper’s Ferry for sight-seeing or walking along the C&O Canal towpath. Lodging is dormitory style with shared rooms with 2 people each. Please note if you absolutely require a single room. Massages are available at an additional cost.
